Sarouk

Sarouk (Saruq) is located in the province of Markazi in central Iran. Sarouk rugs are of excellent quality. Sarouks rugs and carpets have both curvilinear and geometric pattern. These rugs come in different sizes. Colors used in traditional designs are red, blue, burnt orange, ocher, and champagne. Sarouk rugs are made from excellent wool, weavers in Sarouk use Persian knots but in antique rugs you can also find Turkish knots. They are famous for central decoration.
