Gabbeh (means unclipped) is an interesting type of rug. The majority of Gabbeh made by tribal people such as QASHQAI around SHIRAZ. These rugs have simple geometric pattern, some rugs have human and birds in the pattern. Gabbeh rugs have excellent quality and are extremely durable. These rugs are in different sizes but majority of them are small. You can find them in different colors like Plain khaki, soft green, light blue, red, yellow or ivory. Texture of Gabbeh rugs is Very Thick, heavy, soft wool, lose piles. Knots are usually flat woven.
